Homeless Hotline:
Crisis Services Hotline is available 24/7 and is staffed with professionals specially trained to assist callers in a crisis. We have specialized training in housing and homeless related issues and serve as the central intake for the Homeless Prevention and Rapid ReHousing Program (HPRP) for both the City of Buffalo (BHOP) program and the County of Erie (ECHO) Program. Homeless Hotline Counselor are available 7 days per week to assist individuals & families who are homeless, on the verge of becoming homeless or facing eviction.

To reach the Homeless Outreach Case Management staff during day time hours you can call 835-6225.

Case Management:
The goal of the case managers is to identify a homeless individual’s needs, link with appropriate treatment and other supports, and assist in finding safe, affordable, permanent housing.

Erie County Prevention Services:
Crisis Services was awarded a grant in July 2005 to assist homeless individuals and those at risk of becoming homeless in areas outside of the City of Buffalo.   While Crisis Services has always supported these areas, financial assistance was restricted to Buffalo residents.

This grant provides for intensive outreach services as well as financial assistance to those qualifying individuals.

Emergency Housing After-Hours:
The Department of Social Services has contracted Crisis Services to serve homeless individuals in need of emergency shelter when DSS-Emergency Housing is closed.

Hours of Service:  4:30 PM to 8:00 AM Monday-Friday
and 24 hrs/day Weekends & Holidays

Individuals may access this service by calling Crisis Services 24/7 Hotline at 834-3131 or 911 (who will patch the caller through to Crisis Services).
